President Biden says he's 'happy to debate' Trump: Election 2024

There’s a reason I didn’t vote for Donald. I believed in Hillary Clinton, because she was a career politician. She was into the job in the way her husband was. Bill Clinton, he didn’t want to take a vacation. Donald, I knew he would spend more time golfing than serving the White House. I don’t get the focus of the administration, and I don’t get its divisiveness.

Early life and education

The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home first hit the market on June 17 after talks that Dell’Abate and wife Mary Dell’Abate were considering leaving the tri-state area for good to live a hybrid life between Maine and Florida. My guess is that because the sick day had to do with a cancer scare, that meant it also had to do with mortality. And that was something you couldn’t bring yourself to talk about. Talking about it would have been like admitting to the audience that I’m getting old. I’ve never really believed I was going to die.

My daughters and my wife are so important, and I really did want to make changes as I got older in terms of what I put out there. Was there a “eureka” moment when you understood that you wanted to talk to your guests in a different way? I wouldn’t say there was one moment where I went, “I’m done with this [expletive].” It was part of opening up in therapy. Before, I had closed myself off to everyone. Then I started to get off on the fact that when I talked to these people, they had had similar experiences to mine. I was feeling that there was something to be learned.

In conclusion, Southampton, New York, provides a way of life that is distinguished by its viability, accessibility, safety, and feeling of community. This luxurious area provides a well-connected network of roadways, ensuring easy access to both the bustling energy of New York City as well as adjacent facilities like hospitals, parks, and schools. Notably, his morning show at WXRK in New York City achieved extraordinary levels of syndicated success during that time.

The conventional wisdom is that the Sterns will retire to Florida, just as thousands of New Yorkers have done before them. Beth Stern told City & Shore Magazine in 2013 that the couple had shopped homes in tony Jupiter Island, about 25 miles north of Palm Beach. But they ultimately decided to buy their North County Road estate because they felt most comfortable in Palm Beach. Here are five quick snippets about life for Stern and wife Beth Ostrosky Stern in the affluent town that is most famously home to former President Donald Trump’s residence, The Mar-a-Lago Club.

If I was going to be truthful on the air and talk about stuff that I knew, race would have to be included. Nothing was more startling in my young life than to see white people flee in the middle of the night, the same people who would tell me you have to love your black brothers. So in my life I’ve always had a discussion about race. Are you ever worried about the prospect of people digging up old offensive material you’ve done? It’s not hard to imagine folks getting freshly upset.

My theory about Donald, having spent some time with him — don’t forget Donald was at my wedding, and I was at one of his — is that deep down he did not want to be President. These are my beliefs based on facts that I know. You know, back then I loved Gilda Radner,3 and so when she went running out of the studio because I was a madman, I felt bad. By going into therapy I developed empathy and began to care about the fact that I was a fan of some people. I can’t tell you how obscured that information was from me. I loved Led Zeppelin, but I’d go on the radio and tear them a new [expletive].

Were you ever aware of whether you were pandering when you talked about social issues? Listen, I believed that my career would end at any minute. The way that I felt that I could get mass audiences and ensure I’d get to work another day was to be the most outlandish, the most wild, the most funny and controversial, like a guy who had just gotten out of an insane asylum.

But a lot of times outsiders badly want to be on the inside. The way I was when I was younger was somewhat dishonest. If I hadn’t evolved, I’d now be doing “Butt Bongo Fiesta”4 for guys in their 60s. Of course, Stern wasn't always making enough money to fund his real estate mogul lifestyle.

Mr. Stern’s listeners are mostly white, mostly male and mostly comfortably middle class, according to figures shared by the Howard Stern Radio Network, an advertising agency not affiliated with SiriusXM. Sitting with Howard Stern, the nation’s best-known shock jock, President Biden on Friday replayed the deepest lows of his life story and the highs of a decades-long political career in an appearance designed to reintroduce him to an audience of millions. By mid-2011, Stern had reduced his time playing chess and took up photography. Howard Allan Stern (born January 12, 1954)[2] is an American broadcaster and media personality. He is best known for his radio show, The Howard Stern Show, which gained popularity when it was nationally syndicated on terrestrial radio from 1986 to 2005.

I was brutal,6 and at some point I realized how much I admired her. She’s a fabulous comic, she’s brilliant, and I began to develop a relationship with her. I said on the air that she’s brave, which was hard for me to do because I spent so many years bashing this woman. She had gone through so much [expletive], because when I go after someone, my audience goes with me. But we’ve developed this nice friendship, so I said to my guys that I don’t want to re-air me bashing Rosie.

I think Donald was a lot happier not being in the White House. The way I grew up.8 Traumatized people learn how to turn off what you’re calling a soul. It’s that the pain of emotion is so intense they turn it off. And I feel that Donald is caught up in getting the love of the masses, which is unobtainable and leads to no good. At one point, Mr. Biden — who also told Mr. Stern that he had fallen “ass over tin cup” in love with his first wife — that he had contemplated suicide after Neilia and Naomi were killed. The SiriusXM host went on to reference President Joe Biden's recent comment that the pandemic was "over" and even though most people are choosing not to wear facial coverings nowadays, he still just "does not want" to contract coronavirus.

I could not bring myself to admit my own mortality. Does it bother you when an interview subject is performing what they think you want in an interview rather than just being in the moment? Look, there are some people who are so closed off they don’t want to go there. My biggest fault as an interviewer is I keep trying.

Now, granted, that’s just a drop in the bucket compared to the $52 million the Sterns spent in 2013 when they used an ownership entity to buy the estate at 601 N. Features of the house include hardwood floors throughout, soaring ceilings, formal living and dining rooms, a gourmet kitchen, several family rooms and a walk-out lower level, according to the listing. The move comes after Dell’Abate, 60, spoke on the Stern show last year about possibly moving further north to Maine after he and his wife, Mary Dell’Abate, took a trip there and fell in love with the state. Stern has three daughters with his first wife Alison Berns, who he met while attending Boston University (he put her in one of his student films – awwwww).

Howard Stern was born January 12, 1954 – which clocks him in at 64 years old at the time this article was published. They also tend to have very “cynical and nihilistic” views of the world and people and thus, have an extremely small inner circle of friends. At least that’s what Astrology.com says – and I trust them with my life. The eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom Southampton home is built on a 4.35-acre property Stern purchased for $20 million in 2005.

“For anyone who understands the role of the free press in a democracy, it should be troubling that President Biden has so actively and effectively avoided questions from independent journalists during his term. The president occupies the most important office in our nation, and the press plays a vital role in providing insights into his thinking and worldview, allowing the public to assess his record and hold him to account,” the statement began. On Thursday, the Times slammed Biden for refusing to sit down for more interviews with independent news outlets. Less the “shock jock” of old, Stern still commands a loyal audience. And he’s become known for his conversational interviewing skills. He can turn talks with celebrities into revealing discussions, often by asking things others might be afraid to, but not in confrontational ways.

So Howard's property is just under twice the size of Bob's in terms of both living space and acreage. That sets a new record for the Palm Beach area. It's just $3 million shy of the Florida sale record which was set when Larry Ellison paid $173 million for a home just a few minutes down the road.

Feeding time! Here are the best vet-recommend dog food brands in 2024

With the custom-built mansion he added in 2012, the estate is currently estimated to be worth $25 million, according to Zillow. Today, Stern is estimated to be worth more than half a billion dollars. He is one of the highest-earning celebrities in the country and, in early December, he inked a $100 million-per-year, five-year contract with SiriusXM radio.

I’m still that guy who will go on the air and blast whatever I think is horrible, but I’ll also allow myself to be a fan. In the photo below, Howard's property is the larger one on the left. To reiterate, Howard's buildings have 40,000 square feet of living space. Howard's property is on 3.25 acres. Even more interesting is the fact that the property was ranked number 8 on the town’s list of “highest valued residential properties”.

It topped the US box office in its opening week and grossed $41.2 million domestically. Stern performs on its soundtrack, which charted the Billboard 200 at number one and was certified platinum for one million copies sold. Stern's third book, Howard Stern Comes Again, was released in 2019. This soon became the task of program director Kevin Metheny, who Stern infamously feuded with and nicknamed "Pig Virus".[65][69] While at WNBC, Stern also began his longtime feud with its morning host Don Imus.

The person was granted anonymity to discuss internal planning processes. NEW YORK (AP) — President Joe Biden said Friday that he is willing to debate his presumptive Republican opponent, Donald Trump, later this fall – his most definitive comment yet on the issue. Deeply reported insights into legislation, politics and policy from Sacramento, Washington and beyond.

I bet it lets you get away with things other interviewers can’t. To some extent people come in wanting to please me. And because I’m famous, and people know that I’m open — I talk about how small my penis is and every other thing in my life — that lends itself to an honest discussion.

“Those of us here in New York will be sad to see Ronnie go — but I understand what you’re up to, and I support it,” Stern, who has a robust real estate portfolio himself, told Mund on the show. Which is quite a paradox for someone whose been as willfully controversial as you have. I shouldn’t care about it, but criticism still affects me. In therapy we talk about the disconnect between understanding real love between two people and this idealization of the masses’ love. I bum out, because I want everyone to love what I’m doing.

Did you raise your kids with religion? If you didn’t, it must be interesting to have a child embrace Judaism so strongly. As far as raising the kids, I would not have really given them any religion.

So to sit down with Mick Jagger and talk about his career — that might be incredible. It’s more that I’m wondering — and maybe this sounds corny — if you think he’s actually capable of a certain level of soulful introspection. Donald is a well-guarded personality. I think he’s actually so emotional that somewhere along the line he had to close it off.

It’s that time of year when the Flavel House Museum opens its dining room for guests to enjoy the very English holiday tradition of having tea and plum pudding. Astoria’s Flavel House Museum, built in the 1880s, is a fine example of Queen Anne architecture, its interior curated to the later Victorian period. While the home’s lavish decor can seem overwhelming, a careful look reveals more than meets the eye. From 1937 through World War II, the Public Health Department, the Red Cross, and the local Welfare Commission all had offices in the house. In 1951, there was once again the talk of tearing the house down, this time to make way for a parking lot for the County Courthouse. Concerned citizens organized to save the home, and the Flavel House was made into a local history museum managed by the Clatsop County Historical Society while still under the ownership of the County.

In time, automobiles, including the Flavel’s Studebaker sedan, found a home in the Carriage House, and the family’s driver kept a room upstairs. Today the Carriage House functions as the Visitor Center, museum store, and exhibit hall for the Flavel House Museum and the administrative offices of the Clatsop County Historical Society. In 1982, the Clatsop County Historical Society (CCHS) first leased and eventually purchased the building.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping our community to slow the spread of COVID-19. Other characteristics of the Queen Anne style are the octagonal-shaped tower, the one-story wrap-around porch, and its asymmetrical facade. Decorative elements of the Stick and Italianate styles are also apparent in the vertical stickwork, the bracketed eaves, and the hooded moldings above the windows and doors. Outlining the roof and verandas of the house is the original wrought-iron cresting.

The house was very modern with wall-to-wall carpeting, gaslighting, indoor plumbing, and a central heating system. Modern features for the period included full indoor plumbing and a central heating system (augmented by the coal-burning fireplaces in each of the rooms). Each room contained tall, elaborate, Eastlake-style chimney surrounds; those on the main floor were each executed in a different hardwood.

The image has been previously misused and debunked by other fact-checking sites. While there was a recent power issue in Washington, the White House was not affected and it is normal for lights at the White House to be turned off at 11 p.m. While some on social media claimed that the lights at White House went out along with the Washington Monument, the White House was not affected by the outage, according to Litterst.

"I had zero intention of trying to be vulgar or be profane in any way. I was simply living my joy and my truth and existing in my body." The user captioned the post, "Very strange." One user commented, "10 days of darkness." President Joe Biden took the oath office on Jan. 20 and has pledged that his first 100 days days in office will include tackling the coronavirus pandemic, reversing immigration policies and addressing criminal justice reform. Rose Montoya, 27, met the US president and First Lady Jill Biden at the largest Pride celebration in White House history on Saturday. However, looking at Montoya's TikTok video post shows that replies and comments there are largely supportive and positive. Then Montoya shows herself meeting and chatting with both President Biden and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden.

Former Vice President Mike Pence has refused to endorse Trump’s reelection bid. Biden began his roast with a direct focus on Trump, calling him “sleepy Don,” in reference to a nickname Trump had given the president previously. He went on to note that despite being similar in age, the two presidential hopefuls have little else in common. Chants accused U.S. journalists of undercovering the war and misrepresenting it.

The White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) dinner on Saturday night provided the ideal platform for Biden to continue a recent run of taking the fight to Trump with more aggressive rhetoric, cutting humour and personal insults. Deeply reported insights into legislation, politics and policy from Sacramento, Washington and beyond. Trump’s campaign isn’t premised on winning a majority, something a Republican has managed only once in the past eight presidential elections, (George W. Bush in 2004). Democrats have also zeroed in on Kennedy’s equivocal statements on abortion, including one in August in which he said he would sign a national ban on abortions after 15 weeks. They skew young, but also tend to be less focused on politics and less likely to vote at all, polls show.

” another voice is heard off camera later in the video, as Ms. Montoya holds her breasts and shakes them up and down. A transgender man stands fully topless next to her, showing off his “top surgery” scars. The White House condemned Montoya's actions in a public statement, however, saying Montoya and others seen stripping in the video would not be invited back to the premises. The original video, posted to TikTok, shows Montoya and another unnamed transgender activist, a biological female, baring their breasts on the South Lawn with the White House in view behind them. While Montoya is correct that Washington, D.C., laws allow people to be topless, the White House is federal land where local D.C. Trans activist Rose Montoya doubled down Monday on her decision to go topless at President Biden's Pride Month event at the White House.

"My trans masculine friends were showing off their top surgery scars and living in joy, and I wanted to join them. And because it is perfectly within the law of Washington, D.C., I decided to join them and cover my nipples just to play it safe. Montoya, who uses she/they pronouns, has not publicly commented on the White House’s decision to ban her from future events, but defended herself on social media from the growing backlash Monday. The White House called the incident “inappropriate and disrespectful” and said it’s “not reflective of the event we hosted to celebrate LGBTQI+ families” or other guests.

A newly released study by the Pew Research Center finds that 91% of people who voted for Biden last time and 94% of those who voted for Trump plan to vote for the same person this year. Registered voters who did not cast a ballot in 2020 are almost evenly divided, Pew found. Both companies have been crushed financially, with plummeting sales following a staggering 15,000 social media calls for Pride-collection boycotts — nearly 40 times higher than a year ago, when there were just 400, The Guardian noted.

Mr. Polumbo says actions like this and overly sexual displays at Pride parades are hurting the cause for gay rights and mainstream LGBTQ acceptance. “It’s frustrating for me as a gay person, because most of the LGBT community are just normal people, but historically we’ve been hyper sexualized or reduced to our sexuality in a bigoted way,” he says. The montage of moments also shows an interaction with President Biden. The influencer smiles next to the president, saying, "It's an honor, Mr. President. Trans rights are human rights." An image of the White House with the lights off used to claim that President Joe Biden isn't in office has been ALTERED, based on our research.

Gaza only got one mention at an annual gathering of hundreds of reporters, after the deadliest year for journalists in a decade. While Biden cracked jokes at the White House correspondents’ dinner, pro-Palestinian protesters made sure it was a different story outside. Attorneys have already threatened to file multiple lawsuits against the LAPD over its response to the second protest outside the spa. A Gallup poll released Monday finds that 69 percent of Americans think transgender athletes should compete only against persons of their natal sex, not their gender identity — up 7 points from just two years ago. That same poll finds that 55 percent of Americans say it’s “morally wrong” to change one’s gender, up 4 points from 2021.

One organizer complained that the White House Correspondents’ Association — which represents the hundreds of journalists who cover the president — largely has been silent since the first weeks of the war about the killings of Palestinian journalists. More than two dozen journalists in Gaza wrote a letter last week calling on their colleagues in Washington to boycott the dinner altogether. Biden’s speech before nearly 3,000 people was being followed by entertainer Colin Jost from “Saturday Night Live.” Academy Award winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Scarlett Johansson, Jon Hamm and Chris Pines were among other stars. Criticism of the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s six-month-old military offensive in Gaza has spread through American college campuses, with students pitching encampments in an effort to force their universities to divest from Israel.

A White House spokesman later said that Ms Montoya had been “inappropriate and disrespectful” and would not be invited to future events. In a short video shared to her Instagram page, Ms Montoya can be seen shaking Mr Biden’s hand and telling him “trans rights are human rights”. Rose Montoya, a transgender woman, shared a video she filmed from Saturday's event with her TikTok followers. “This behavior is inappropriate and disrespectful for any event at the White House,” a White House spokesperson told The Post. Montoya shared the racy footage Monday to Instagram along with a spliced-together video of the event, where the president and first lady Jill Biden delivered speeches to the hundreds of invitees in attendance.

That has included a public endorsement of Biden earlier this month by 15 members of the Kennedy family. It’s impossible to know how many of Stein’s voters might have voted for Hillary Clinton, but the claim that she cost Clinton the election is at least plausible. The wide variation underscores the problem pollsters face in measuring Kennedy voters. His backers come from both the left and the right and disagree widely on many issues. Disaffected people are inherently hard to poll — they tend not to readily respond to surveys — and hard to predict in terms of turnout.

A transgender model who flashed her breasts at the White House has been branded “disrespectful” by the Joe Biden administration. Montoya, a transgender woman, is holding her breasts in that part of the video, but another person who is apparently a transgender man is showing off his mastectomy scars while flexing. She shared the clips with her social media followers and later slapped back at critics by claiming she did not violate any Washington, DC, laws. The polyamorous model and trans rights advocate, who grew up in rural Idaho, did not immediately respond to an interview request. “This behavior is inappropriate and disrespectful for any event at the White House,” the flack said.

Though the woman could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday, she posted a lengthy video on her Instagram account on Aug. 17 addressing “haters” who accused her of faking the video. After the video alleging someone exposed themselves went viral, the spa became the target of right-wing demonstrations, which many chided as transphobic after extremist groups such as the Proud Boys glommed onto the events. The recording, which surfaced in late June, showed an irate customer arguing with employees after she said she had seen a customer with a penis in an area that is reserved for women. The Wilshire Boulevard facility has some gender-separated areas with changing rooms and Jacuzzis.

At one point during the demonstrations, tensions escalated as protesters refused to relocate and remove their tents and other prohibited items, a university official said. "The university is a private campus and the group had been violating some of their orders. It was a trespass at that point and we assisted with the arrests," Los Angeles Police Captain Kelly Muniz said during a briefing. The Los Angeles Police Department said 93 people were arrested on suspicion of trespassing during Wednesday's demonstrations at the University of Southern California.
